  • "Easy-to-grow, lobed leafy vegetable with a mild taste in a mix of green and red. The leaves are similar to Rucola in appearance but are milder and crispier. Harvest regularly by cutting and new thin leaves grow. Gives harvest well into autumn. In mild winters it can be harvested until the snow settles. Can be sown in batches at the planting site. Leaves and stems can be eaten fresh, lightly cooked or stir-fried. So in the open in warm soil and water abundantly. Thrives best in nutrient-rich and well-drained soil. Thin early for good growth. Keep the soil moist to avoid flowering. If it is grown for small leaves, a distance of 5 - 10 cm is recommended. For larger, filled plants, 25 - 30 cm is required between the plants. Can also be grown indoors all year round in a pot on the windowsill. Provides fresh addition of leafy greens even during the winter. So in installments.
